IFS (International Food Standard) Trade and industry supplier audits have been a firm component of cooperation for many years. Increasing requirements of consumers and globalization of trade flow make this development of a uniform international quality assurance standard necessary. We are certified to IFS and meet the requirements of the HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) quality management concept.

Fair Trade All companies participating in fair trade are regularly inspected. In the countries of origin the international Fairtrade Labeling Organization (FLO) safeguards adherence to respective criteria. In Germany TransFair e.V. supervises the awarding of the fair-trade seal. Consumers and producers alike both benefit from fair trade.

| The consumers receive products which are planted in an environmentally friendly manner and are then inspected. The producers receive a fair price as well as an additional FAIR TRADE bonus which is invested in ecological and social projects. In support of this, Dried Ingredients offers increasingly more FAIR TRADE tea. |
NOP Congress passed the Organic Foods Production Act (OFPA) of 1990. The OFPA required the U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) to develop national standards for organically produced agricultural products to assure consumers that agricultural products marketed as organic meet consistent, uniform standards. The NOP is a marketing program housed within the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service. Neither the OFPA nor the NOP regulations address food safety or nutrition. |
